Tesco exclusive Wicked Kitchen Vegan Ice Cream treat wins ‘Best Ice Cream’ in Peta’s 2021 Vegan Food Awards

Running for the ninth year in a row, the widely recognised PETA’s Vegan Food Awards just announced some of the most delicious and exceptional plant based offerings from the past 12 months, including the Tesco Exclusive, Wicked Kitchen Cookie Dough Ice Dream treat, which scooped an award for the ‘Best Ice Cream’.

Currently sold exclusively at Tesco, the UK’s ‘number one plant based retailer’*, the awarded Cookie Dough Ice Dream treat is a true game changer for cookie dough lovers featuring soft, crumbling cookie dough nuggets loaded with delicious chocolate chips. In fact, the Wicked Kitchen range includes a huge selection of indulgent flavours, designed to bring exquisite flavours to your taste buds.

Last year alone, Tesco sold over 800,000 packs of the Wicked Kitchen Ice Dream products. From the perfect accompaniment to hot puddings to a standalone dessert, the Wicked Ice Dream range remains popular in the colder months, with 60,000 units predicted to sell this November.

The Wicked Kitchen Ice Dream range has been created by pioneering plant chef and Director of Plant Based Innovation at Tesco, Derek Sarno, who comments: ‘Our plant-team works tirelessly to develop what we believe are the best tasting, highest quality, and most affordable plant based/vegan products on the market. It’s great to get this type of recognition for our Wicked Kitchen range (thank you Peta) and to see our Wicked Ice Dream range proving so popular, less than a year after its launch – it shows that other people share our view. Keep close, we’ve got lots more delicious plant-based innovations on the way!’
