#IceColdBalls Hits The Road For Testicular Cancer Awareness Month.

The Ice Co Storage and Logistics have teamed up with the OddBalls Foundation to help raise awareness of Testicular Cancer across the length and breadth of the UK with their #IceColdBalls campaign.

The OddBalls Foundation was set up in 2016 to raise awareness for Testicular Cancer following on from the success of the flamboyant underwear and sportwear brand OddBalls Apparel. The highly engaging underwear brand was launched after former Newcastle United goalkeeper Steve Harper, former Scotland International rugby player Richard Metcalfe and former Newcastle Falcons CEO Paul Varley met and discussed ways to raise money for Testicular Cancer whilst setting up a clothing brand.

The underwear brand they created along with Managing Director, Will Cooper, is highly supported by sports stars and celebrities including Alan Shearer, Dame Kelly Holmes, James Haskell and the Welsh Rugby Union Team to name a few. This year, temperature-controlled storage and distribution company, The Ice Co Storage & Logistics, has partnered with them to co brand one of their trailers for the campaign.

April is Testicular Cancer Awareness Month therefore a notable time to launch. Testicular Cancer is the most common type of Cancer in men aged 15-35 years old with 7 people diagnosed every day in the UK.

“The OddBalls Foundation is a fantastic charity to work with, we are so pleased to be working together to promote awareness for testicular cancer. Testicular cancer not only effects men, but women and families too so we will be rolling out literature internally across our sites to educate employees too. The OddBalls brand is stand out and impactful and will look great on our trailer up and down the country” – Paul Martin, Managing Director of The Ice Co Storage and Logistics.

The eye-catching design will be used every day in The Ice Co Storage & Logistics operations travelling approximately 160,000km in the year across the lengths of the UK promoting Testicular Cancer Awareness and the great work the OddBalls Foundation has been doing these last three years.

Will Cooper, Managing Director of OddBalls Apparel had the following to say with regards to this joint venture:

‘We are hoping the collaboration with The Ice Co Storage and Logistics generates huge amounts of Social Media content and helps promote The OddBalls Foundation across the UK. Our main aim is to increase the awareness regarding Testicular Cancer, having something visual and eye catching on the roads will get people talking and that is the first step! It’s certainly going to be the loudest lorry on the roads!
We are proud of the brand we have created, and the awareness raised for Testicular Cancer. As The OddBalls Foundation continues to grow we want that awareness to increase and ultimately stop anyone from dying of Testicular Cancer.’

Sister brand and ice manufacturer The Ice Co will also be running a series of social media competitions throughout the campaign. Look out for #IceColdBalls around the UK!
